My Story

“I didn’t plan this path, but I said yes to God one step at a time.”

I didn’t always imagine myself as a worship leader or songwriter. My journey here has been shaped by obedience, community, and many seasons of learning to trust God when the path wasn’t clear. I didn’t plan this path, but I said yes to God one step at a time.

The Beginning

I’ve been part of the Every Nation Church, New York for over 23 years. What began as simply showing up and serving as a volunteer slowly became the place where my faith was formed, stretched, and rooted. Over time, God shaped my heart for worship and leadership through community, discipleship, and a love for the local church. Today, I have the privilege of serving on staff as worship director, something I never would have planned for myself, but am deeply grateful to steward.

A Church That Shaped Me

Before stepping fully into ministry, I spent many years working outside the church. I began my career as a teacher, then worked in the music industry as an executive assistant supporting award-winning producers and executives. Later, I owned and operated a web and graphic design studio for nearly two decades. Those years taught me how to build systems, lead teams, create with intention, and steward responsibility. I didn’t know it at the time, but God was preparing me through every season.

Preparing Along the Way

The shift into ministry wasn’t quick or easy. It required leaving familiar work, facing fear, and trusting God with gifts I once kept hidden. I had to learn to use my voice, both literally and creatively, in ways that felt vulnerable and uncomfortable. Songwriting became a place of prayer, surrender, and healing. Many of the songs I write are born from quiet moments with God, honest questions, and a desire to dwell in His presence.

Finding My Voice

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
— Proverbs 3:5–6

My heart is to help people slow down and encounter God’s presence. My music reflects both gentle prayers and bold declarations of praise, all rooted in Scripture and shaped by real moments with God. Whether in seasons of peace or in the middle of uncertainty, my hope is that these songs help others draw near and trust God more deeply.

Living in New York City continues to shape my faith and songwriting. The contrast between constant movement and hidden places of rest mirrors my own walk with God. I’m learning to listen, to rest, and to lead from a place of presence rather than performance.

Above all, my calling is to serve the church and help create spaces where people can encounter God through worship. I’m still learning, still growing, and still walking this journey with faith. My prayer is that my life (and my music) would point you to Jesus, the One who leads us into the presence of the Father. May you learn to trust Him more deeply, follow Him with confidence, and find joy and peace in every season through Him.
